There Must Be One Small Thing! Poem by Dan Reynolds

There Must Be One Small Thing!

There must be one small thing!

If I take on all of the weight
Of the combined forces of injustice and hate
And worry and fret and self-castigate
Will I lessen the load?

If my inaction multiplies
The length, effect and duration of lies
Cultivating the ability to despise
To whom is my debt owed?

But if I do one thing each day
One selfless act to help repay
The wrongs of mine from along the way
Will this help to balance the scales?

My vow I now, do solemnly make
And not just for my own petty sake
From now, everyday, some time I'll take
And be nice to someone from Wales.
