i know that love
love will build and destroy
the princes of earth
just do all for glory
kingdoms will fade
my life will bleed out
my words will remain
nothing is lost

i wrestled an angel once
last night it would seem
he or she came or left
inside of my dreams
inside it was me
that's where i scream
i scream for the dreamers
who haven't started to dream

awaken!
dream!
life is more than you are
rest!
observe!
death is never too far
believe!
exist!
show your demons all mercy
cease!
desist!
give your bread to the thirsty

i would wish to burn
out like a firework
like the ones i saw some days ago
when we celebrated our emancipation
from white on white colonial domination
i would wish
to leave beauty and grace
in my wake
i would wish to leave hope
when you have none left to fake
