These Three Words Poem by K.L Davis

When i first saw you
i knew you were
the one.
I know that listerning
to my head was wrong.
Playing with your
mind and you
not knowing what
was going on.
I opened up my heart
and turned off my mind.
Because i knew
that you were the one
to allow in side.
Three words
i've been so longing
to say.
I found so difficult
in putting the right way.
Listening to voices
that no one
else could hear.
I opened my eyes
for the first time
and let go
of my fears.
With my heart
being broken by
the hands of an
abuser.
I couldn't
and would't allow
myself to sink
any further.
To let go of the pain
inside.
All the hurt
that i had felt
whilst by the others
side.
Made my heart
and all its love
get locked away inside.
I never wanted
to feel that pain again
so my happiness
was a mask for all
the tears i contained.
But when you
came into my life
i just knew i had
let you inside.
But i couldn't
and now you
know the reason why.
And these three words
i've been longing
to say.
Is that i love you
and i will
untill my dying
day.
