They Never Knew Poem by Nomvula Hadebe

They Never Knew

Deep sigh and tears in her eye
They never knew
Cracked heels with blood dripping slowly
She still moves yet slower in motion as it's her only option
Baggage full of others pains and fears
They never knew
Headaches and stress day in and out no pill could help
As the only cause could be thought to be a slap
All she longed was for a peice of slack
They never knew
She carried them over carrying herself
She gave it all as she never had it all
They never knew that she died alive.
