Things Are Different

Things are different
than they were before
they changed in ways
that were different than
the other times
so different that you
began to feel as though
you were on a pretzel shaped
spaceship to Mars
driven by a deranged captain
and the biggest difference
is that you didn't know if
you would ever get back
