POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Sister Mary Aquinas Monaghan, Missionary Sister of St. Columban, spent her life on Mission in Hong Kong. She worked with great compassion and love among the sick, poor, and needy, giving due consideration to the needs of the whole person. She made a special contribution to the eradication of Tuberculosis in Hong Kong and indeed worldwide through research, presentations at International Conferences, and above all to her diagnosis, treatment and care of the patients in her care.
