This Is Wonderful - Poem by Reginald Goodridge

Your mascarra is running
Your heart is beating so fast
This rain is beating us
I can't help but giggle and laugh

I love this moment
I can't be anywhere but here
The clouds have come to cover us
So I'll hold you closer my dear

You squint as the makeup burns
I sniff as the rain tickles my nose
Can we just pause this moment
Us, open, street love, wet clothes
