This Life, What Kind Of Life? Poem by Mamata Bhatt

This Life, What Kind Of Life?

Rating: 5.0

This life, what kind of life?
Survived by hollowing out inside,
Sucked by the terror of the atom,
Haunted by the ghost of the problem,
This life, what kind of life?

You have to sleep with your head in the butt of a gun,
You have to live with your feet on the edge of a Khukuri, (knife)
Blinking eyes also being cautious, opening eyes aslo being cautious,
This life, what kind of life?

Decorated inside the showcase of the shop,
This life is like the bangle of a glass,
which while a young woman is wearing,
This life can be broken like a bangle breaks,
This life is like a cheap rubber,
while walking on the road can be broken like the rubber breaks,
This life, what kind of life?
