This Morning Sun Poem by Max D. Hornbogen

This Morning Sun

This morning sun has blinded me. I can’t see any more. Everything is a blur, can’t even see where I walk.

So where in the hell, can I be? Can I stand here, while you talk? Everything around me has been turning me around into the unknown.

Speaking of you, I can’t seem to put my head around you. Why are U looking at me so closely?

You know that everything you did, was out of love. You have shown me the stars above.
And yet you have given me everything.

But this morning sun has gotten me weak in my knees. Can’t even stand on my feet.
This feeling is so good, this has even given me a smile on my face.

Looking at you now, has gotten me into trouble. But the way, you guided me was smooth sailing.
Well this morning was ok, so I opened up the blinds.

Then the sun had found me in my place, even where I am standing.
So I walked over and saw your face. I knew that the sun was staring
right at you.

The view was amazing; it nearly took me off of my feet.
So I stood there, watching and did not bring myself to walk away.

Well this morning sun had to stare into my eyes,
As I was driving down this road so long.

So I had my shades on, it felt like a different view.
I had the windows down, to feel the wind with my hand.

Man it was nice, not even a rain cloud above.
That day was the day that I shall remember.

When that morning sun rises I am going to say goodbye, for the very last time.
