Those Days Poem by jayne carpenter

Those Days

I can remember those days,
Those enduring days where nothing else mattered except you and I.
We would play for hours in the woods nearby,
With eager eyes and wondering minds like the birds in the sky,
Telling stories of our doubting times.
Those days my dear friend,
We have come to past,
You so quickly abandoned me my friend,
My very fineness friend.
I miss you so,
With aching arms and tired eyes,
It feels like we never existed-
That we were like a projection in my mind!
