Thought You Weere My Best Bud Poem by katelin offord harper

Thought You Weere My Best Bud

Thought you were my best bud
that stood up against anything or anyone with me
I know the truth about you
Sometimes i wonder if I got too close
So I'll back off
But to warn you that I was the friend
You had when your father had passed on
I always knew what was wrong
I was at your house
The day he died
When you found out about your father
I was the first one to know
I will not forget those tears of saddness
I knew it hurt you a lot that day you found out
I made a promise to you that day
That I would stick with you till the end
I showed up that day of his passing
You had family there
But I was the only friend
You don't know what you have done
You threw me away for a boy
That abused you and talked bad about me
I bet you never knew
that he was going to pay someone to beat me up
But that person said NO
I never did a thing wrong to him
I will always put a smile on my face
But now it won't be for you
It will be for me
Because I accomplished my goal
On being there for you
I trusted you with everything
and you trusted me
So why did you let things happen this way
I tried everything I could to save our friendship
But you threw it away
And didn't want anything to do with me
So I guess if I move
You won't have to see me anymore
I can tell you right now
That I'll be damn happy
If I leave everything behind
Including you
The only thoughts and things I will remember
Is your father
I just wish you could see
What you lost
You know I even wrote a poem
About us and the difficult times
We had
But the poem doesn't matter to you
I am completely hoping to leave you behind
Like you left me
So now this is my final good bye to the person
I trusted and loved
You will never forget
the pain of your father but hopefully
YOu will remember me being there for you
