Thoughts Of The Day

If I learned as much as you
What would I have learned to do?
With each lesson I held true
Would treasures of gold
Entice me to hold
Those who felt so cold
And with this…
Would I be basking in the sun
Thanks to dead's I had done

Or...

Would the flip-side be
What Causes the fall of me
Due to misfortunes of the day
Being the only way
In which I choose to see
See there is no relief in sight
Due to refusing to let go
Of what might just be
An illusion to me
And with this...
Would I remain in dismay
Due to deads I left undone?
