i stare into your eyes
i can see all the love in them
i stare back into the eyes of my lover
the eyes of my sweetheart
the eyes of my soulmate
i lay on your bed
i try and only stare into your eyes
i try and not think of all the wires your hooked up too
i just stare into your eyes
you stare back into mine
just with that look
we spoke thousands that we couldnt say
i grab your head and lay it on my shoulder
i hold you close to me
i whisper in you ear
'i am here my love and i will always be here now you can rest'
you nod softly into my shoulder
i stare into the machine that keeps you alive
I feel you slowly stop moving
I kiss your neck softly and stare into that machine
'beep....beep....beep......beep.......-SILENCE-'
i cry but i still hold onto you
the nurses come in
i stay by your side
the doctors come in
i stay by your side
finally i can feel your body so cold
i lay you back and now
your eyes are closed my darling
i will no longer look into your gorgeous eyes and speak a thousand words
i walk out of that room and walk down the hallway
there are thousands of noises around me as i walk
yet all i hear are your thousands words you spoke to me
through your eyes
those thousands words that i shall never see again
those thousands words are now
just a memory
