Three Second Fall Poem by Timmy Tubbs

Three Second Fall

Rating: 5.0

I’m pressing my hand against your window
To measure your cold
Trying to find were the warmth is escaping
And how you’re still seeping though my window mold

Somehow, I know we are both better than this
Sad but true, we stripped all our nuts and bolts
And these intricate parts have no instructions
Knowing you will steal me back anytime life wraps its boredom around you
It just pisses me off knowing
That I’m forever in love with you

I’m measuring the cracks
This monster left on your skin
And I’m wiping the blood beneath my chin
I’m untaping my faith that I stuck on you
Revealing the words you crave
“You win.”
'You always do.'

So if its done, I want it done over the winters white blanket
So all the red measures the tragedy of it all
So sad, all our climbing only led to one
Three second fall
