Through A Glass Darkly Poem by Mary Champion

Through A Glass Darkly

‘Tis through a darkened glass that now you see
But, when your vision clears, the Truth will be
writ large in gold upon a midnight sky.
Then surely, with your dark adapted eye,
you'll understand the history you bear
within the ancient spirit that you wear,
reread the words you wrote in times gone past,
but now, by all the light of truth that's cast
from all the facts all men have stored within
since first they came to earth to toil and spin.
Then, face to face, you'll meet the missing part
of your soul and complete your severed heart.
