Through Love Obey

Too oft is heard that hell is here!
Hell’s torment’s here in life
That in the grave we’ve nought to fear
For death’s the end of strife

True torment though, begins in hell!
The bible’s clear to say
Once there; the truth will surely tell
To life was Christ the way

Too late of course will be the cry
Too late to seek God’s grace
When finding souls can never die
Eternal pains we’ll face

What is to do, what can we say?
To rid our lives of shame
How can we walk from death away?
How can we flee hell’s flame?

Is church the answer to it all?
Can praying bring release?
Can pious deeds bring Satan’s fall?
Will righteous words bring peace?

Obedience is The Lord’s delight
Through love life’s wars are won
We all can put the foe to flight
Through faith in Christ God’s Son

Did Christ not say we fall asleep?
All life is in His hand
That what we sow we also reap
He gave to understand

Was Jesus’ death for you in vain?
Do you believe God lied?
Can those who sleep not rise again?
Just like when Jesus died
