Through The Looking Glass,

though the looking glass,
i see
a world filled with mystery.

a world of hopes and dreams,
that could end in utter misery,
a world ripped upon the seams.

i see your face
slipping away from me,
i try to save you from this reality.

this reality,
thats more than fake.
but less than real.

i see this all through the looking glass,
hoping to stumble in on my ass,
just to see what could have been.

its like a past,
but also a future.
having nothing to do with the present.

im trying to find a way in,
with knowing a way out.
i see unopened doors.

my heart fell in
behind you,
im trying to reach out and grab it.

i hate to say you have my heart,
but you say you couldn't let it fall,
my reality is slipping.

through the looking glass,
i see all the possibilities,
all the doors to enter.

but instead of jumping in,
or clumsily falling in,
im just going to walk away.

and stay in this reality.
