Thy Granite Floor Poem by Kayla Welch

Thy Granite Floor

A tear fell from my cheek
Straight down to the granite floor
For everything I have
I don't have anymore
My eyes begin to burn
My heart has been shattered
I look to see, riches, golds, jewelry
But I dont care
Life simply is not fair
I sit down on that floor
And cry until my heart has no more
All I ever needed
All I ever had
Has left me now
I can't help but be sad
For the happiness I held
Was not in my riches
Or the things that I owned
It was within the man I gave my heart
The man who can have it all
Because love is all I ever wanted at all
