Thy Will Oh Lord Poem by Katie Figueroa

Thy Will Oh Lord

In the stillness of the night
The Lord speaks softly.
Abide in me and I in you.

In darkness I was born
As I grew, truth was mine.
Older in the Lord
Yet, I strayed from God's word.

Darkness all around
Yet no peace had I found
Searching yet seeking
For rest and peace of mind
Then the Lord called my name
And said, 'Believe on me! '

Oh, Lord forgive me
Of my sins I did pray.
Worthless as I was
Jesus blood did atone.
Now I'm no longer alone.

I pray, Oh Lord, make of my life
What you will.
As I am body and soul
I give all to thee.

Purge me, Sweet Jesus
That I may bear more fruit.
Come, Oh Holy Spirit
And flood my soul.

Oh Lord, I pray
Not my will, but thine be done.

For in the stillness of the night
The Lord speaks softly.
Abide in me and I in you
For life flows from me,
And, I love you!
