Time Poem by Bernhard Emil Bruhnke III

Time

Rating: 5.0

Time sits with me so gentle.
Lost,
timid,
alluring,
like fireflies imitating the morning.

Time stands by me so ignorant.
Not foolish,
simply unaware.
Its long-standing affair with this moment.
Never leaving, constantly arriving.

Time stares into me so silent.
Desperate for empathy.
As colorful as symmetry
As devoted as solitude.

Time dreams with me so constant.
Stemming the real with the
always;
Recreating our shores so softly,
making the air breathe with
the symphony of instant.
Making the moment,
the echo,
a beacon of what it always was,
my guardian
my intruder
