Time Never Stands Still Poem by PHIL WINTER

Time Never Stands Still

</>This is a bitter reality!
This is a living hell for the people,
Tossed about like shadows,
Tortured from birth to death
And stripped of their humanity.
With dreams sucked up in poverty
And hearts steeped in misery
They look for hope, justice and salvation
From the place where angels dwell.
Day and night their voices rise to crescendo
Leaving a distant echo
As they cry for help.
With great distress, they shout for God!
With desperate eyes, they scan the horizon
Searching for someone, looking for a messiah
To come and ease their pain!
What transgressions did the people commit,
To anger those in heaven
That they should so permit
Such pain and suffering
To stretch and drown these earthly souls?
If the people indeed did wrong,
Do let a sign be shown
To teach them to atone
And earn forgiveness soon!
Time never stands still!
The tide will turn
Darkness will change to a prosperous morn
And justice will prevail!
