Time Slows Down When You're About To Be Forgotten Poem by Wamii Flyer

Time Slows Down When You're About To Be Forgotten

Four in the morning
A hippie back-cuffed to the steel railway

His neck, resting on the metal
Pulsating at an insane rate
Worn out from screaming at the top of his lungs

Waterfalls of tears fall from his deranged eyes
As the train tracks start to rumble intensely

His head is spinning incredibly
Sweat drips down from his unkempt locks
He's crying for help but to no avail
His blood vessels become visible with accumulating panic

No matter how much he struggles to leave
He can't ignore the train lights
Beaming through his eyeballs

He's completely stunned
Flash-banged by a massive iron horse

Train wheels easily behead him
His head falls down, drenched in rushing blood
Eyes still wide open
Imprinted with his last-moment fear

Sweet liquid flowing from each crevice in his skull

Weeks after, his body still hasn't been found
Black and decayed body covered in maggots
The smell is unbearable
The zip tie on his wrists has gone loose
Unable to trap a rotting skeleton

Forever mummified at the hands of nature
His bones shake like maracas
Whenever a new train passes

His family, still searching for their son
Not knowing his body is wrecked beyond recognition

Another John Doe lost to homicide

''Why are you making me close my eyes? Oh, you have a surprise for me? ''
''Yeah, one you'll never forget.''
