Time Stops For Me Poem by Rajendra padhi

Time Stops For Me

My eyes float in sunbeams,
I am no more a committed doll
Not in contemplation for future,
I have no fiction of the past
My home keeps me brooding,
Find me innocent as a fawn
Left alone in the forest,
I greet me good morning
And bid me good night,
Birds occasionally visit me
Though I wait for them in lawn,
I fondle the grass as my kids
Who have gone far from me!
My neighbor bothers not
Whether I am a ghost or man,
I sit like a stone for hours
In rain and in snow fall,
I don’t love or hate anyone
As if I am not a human,
My daughter is in America
Son in Australia in a job,
My wife has gone so far
At peace in graveyard,
A silence ruffles into my spine
I shiver in cold in summer noon.
