' Timothy Leary...

Rating: 5.0

It was 1967...students in college-
following directives from their teacher.
The sky shook, the earth stood still,
Climate change or Nasa's launch?

Perhaps it was just an overdose
of Timothy Leary's majique.
No! No! , that wasn't how it was, he'd say,
if he were here today.

It was rainbows, prisms, spiral lamp-posts,
the edge of tomorrow in time for all hosts,
of Orbs and celestial Czars of the Mind
in cube or blotter it'll take you through time,

on a journey of hours through tunnels and towers,
teasing all senses that capture
and when you woke...you'd want to sojourn again.
The problem being...many never woke.

''My advice to people today is as follows:
If you take the game of life seriously,
If you take your nervous system seriously,
If you take your sense organs seriously, I
f you take the energy process seriously,
You must turn on, tune in, and drop out''.

Timothy Leary/Doctor & Professor
of Clinical Psychology, USC, Cal. Berkley
