Tithes (2)

Adam received the world at birth
Apart from one small tree
To you God said I give the earth
Just leave a part for me

Wake up from your rebellious dream
Put Satan’s thoughts to flight
Immerse yourself in Zion’s stream
In Jesus’ Liquid Light

Repent the wicked deeds you’ve done
Cast down your foolish pride
Confess before The Father’s Son
Disown the hate inside

Who still refuse to do their bit
Who’ve still God’s trust betray
Beneath His curse as thieves will sit –Mal.3: 9
Till all their debts they pay –Mt.18: 34

Yet still we choose to act the fool
We drink the same old wine
Declaring tithes an ancient rule
And say what’s mine is mine

Beware of Him who gave you birth –Ps.139: 13-16
Who heart and soul can kill –Mt.10: 28
Does not to God belong the earth? –Ps.50: 12
Each beast on every hill! –Ps.50: 11

It’s true of wealth God has no need
It’s true Salvation’s free
But in our tithes we plant a seed
That grows no end to see

The Lord wants every child to live
With blessings here today!
He calls for us to freely give
And sees who’ll now obey
