To Anunoluwapo Poem by asaolu kolawole ifedayo

To Anunoluwapo

Whence comes this autumn breeze?
Spreading among the festive lilly
A beauty to behold
Of sunrise so calm and bright
My pleasant angel
Whose name is written in diamond ink

Oh! See her pleasant smile
More expensive than costly emerald
Oh! See her dazzling crown
Shinning brightly beyond the border of moon
O! My little angel
Dance with me in grace
And let the music of LIGHT begins
For by and by,
Our gap is widening
When thy understanding shall heed
Unto the sound of this poetic drum

Lay hold unto peace
And when my days shall grow grey
When beneath the dust my bones shall lay
O remember me in purest love
And go not thou astray
To do what the world is doing
But dwell more in perfect love
Written, to cast away our fear
I love you my dearest daughter
Even though am not thy biological father.
