To Be Or Not To Be, A Butterfly 🦋🦋🦋 Poem by Umasree Raghunath

To Be Or Not To Be, A Butterfly 🦋🦋🦋

I was a butterfly
Utterly happy
And butterfly smoothy
Flying everywhere
Happily from one flower to other
Nothing to be bothered
Till a dirty man caught me tight
Crippled my wings for his might
Crushed my legs
Stole my soul in between
Not letting me raise again
And threw me in the nearest drain
Alas, life is gone
In the lust of a man! ! !
I don't wanna be a butterfly
If at all, I have my next life
I wanna be an 🦅 eagle
Who can strongly fly above without any tangles! ! ! !

Dedicated to all souls who cried out loud in the #metoo movement!
