To Be Seen Poem by Hafiz Muhammad Qasim

To Be Seen

Man is made to be seen
Like objects of nature are made to be seen
Both are not made to be confined
If this is so then even poor has a beauty
Which a rich cannot see
If this is so then even the black has a beauty
Which a white cannot see
If this is so even an ordinary wife has a beauty
Which a noblesse oblige husband cannot see
To be seen is like earthly splendour
Which saves our soul from blunder
Sometimes a man becomes unwantedly friendly
In the guise of frenemy
Then you have to keep the unreliability factor intact
Because the earth is not made flat
Not to be seen is like playing hide and seek
It does not remain all the same
