To Dad Poem by Briana Johnson

To Dad

I'm not your little girl,
your little princess, or
your daddy's girl
anymore.

I'm no longer attached
or latched to you
but my heart still aches
when you leave.

I know you won't believe
but I've always looked up to You
and though it seems
those days have faded
there still here

So, Dad,
I've grown up
But that little girl lives in me
