To Disappear In Sickness Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

To Disappear In Sickness

sun gone
cold settles in
buried itself deep
under my skin
the glow vanishes
icicles pierce through
closing my eyes
I forget your warmth
I submit to the ice
we’ve disappeared
in our sickness
