To Find Out
Once I saw you in your gently warm eyes.
Such pure soul like sunshine that can break ice.
Till I found all you said were about lies.
And the hypocritical smile twisted your beautiful face.
There was no promise. There was no frankness.
I closed the door of my heart for goodness.
No more sorrow. No more tears.
Take a glass of wine, and toast for cheers.

Till I found all you said were about lies......no promise, no frankness, no truth. all a mask........ human experiences.. truly we come across such people who are not true to their core and they cheat.... and we suffer. thank you for bringing in such emotions in your poem. thank you. tony
