The sun is rising now over the horizon
The birds chirp, so many songs
When we're you last tucked in my arms
Seems just a moment ago's too long
To hear your breath drift cross'd my ear
Melodic are the sounds you make
As you slumber there next to me
Now the dawns about to break
When it does, the bell will toll
And you'll take to the road
No matter how far it takes you from me
I have you in my heart to hold
Til the relief of carrying your memory
Becomes bread crumbs where I've been
Along my day, I count the ways
You're like nothing I've ever seen
Should you ever hear me count them
I hope you have forever to spare
I've got a million reasons why, won't you
Come sit here in my comfy chair
Let me woo your spirit, hold your hand
Let me touch your precious face
Let my heart sing to you and call you in
We have a special place
Left unseen by eyes, never described
Don't want it touched by anyone
Cause they bring a frost and violent storms
But you dear bring the sun
You shine on the beautiful smelling flowers
Ones of perriwinkle and chartruese
The greatest thing I've got to give, dear one
Is that I could show them all to you
But there's no way on earth
I can help you to see
What's been growing in my soul
Until these bodies expire, to the source we retire
