To Horses, Slaves And France Poem by ENO SUTRAMAN

To Horses, Slaves And France

Horses forever were harnessed as slaves mistreated,
War effort mutilated them, their free pride defeated,
Even as food for the hungry in tins and alive outfitted,
Give horses a chance! Let them make White House dance!
Down with equestrian statues under man position prance!
Let man expiate his sins with eating oats bray in trance,
And return the Statue of Liberty in gallop on his back
To horses, slaves and France!
