There is an empty space,
a void that aches,
a smile that vanished,
a comfort withdrawn,
an energy stilled
and laughter hushed.

A friend,
companion, solace and guide
has gone from us
and we are left
hurting for her warmth.
Do not forget us please.
We know
the space you leave
here in our hearts
and memories
will not be filled,
for you are someone very special.
To say we'll miss you
does no justice to our feelings.
We won't forget.
