To The Beast With No Name Poem by Laura Covarrubias

To The Beast With No Name

To the Beast with no name…
You made me feel so much shame
You just came up from behind
This had never crossed my mind
It was an assault
But I felt like it was my fault
Do you realize what you’ve done?
I was only out for a run
I can’t forget your touch on my skin
The pain came from within
I can’t forget your voice
I wish I had a choice
But I can’t forget the way you looked at me
Nobody was around to see
You took away the sparkle from my eye
And for that, my tears will never run dry
You invade every single dream
I just want to scream!
But even that I cannot do…
Because nobody knows of you.
My pain is unknown
I suffer all alone
To the beast with no name…
You are the only one to blame.
