To The Exes Who Broke Us Poem by Isa .

To The Exes Who Broke Us

Hold up, Hold up.
Let me change these lyrics.

No more pulling at my heart strings.
I'm going to give you someone to fear,
someone who actually makes my heart sing.

Not some worthless garbage who doesn't mean a thing.
Not to me.
No, not anymore.
Now when I see you.
Oh, when I see you,
My heart just sinks.
I'm ashamed of how highly,
How highly I used to think.
Of you.
Of us.
Of who we could become,
Oh what a shame,
You just had to tarnish my name.

And here I thought,
I'd give you a third chance,
Even though, I didn't even get,
Just one second glance.

But, thanks for giving me something to write about,
Something completely new.
Not some made up tree,
or something about the sea.
No, this something is new,
Something true,
This something, is you.

You don't deserve my thinking space,
Just leave my mind in a haste.

Go bore some other girl,
With your lame excuses
and your stupid.
Copy, paste.

I was taken by your name, Isa, more than your poem, Isa being the main character in the French film La Vie Reve De Ange, starring Melodie Bouchez as Isa. She is a superb French actress, and the film is well worth watching, with subtitles. Dennis

I would have messaged all of this to you in a single message, but for some reason the Message function on your account is not available to me at the moment.

I recommend you buy The Arden Skakespeare, Shakespeare's Sonnets, edited by Katherine Duncan-Jones because of the great footnotes to every sonnet. You can get it cheap on Amazon or from Thrift books. Denny

Pick us a copy of Shakespeare's Sonnets, carry It with you, and read a few repeatedly every day to soak up his discorse.

Third, its important you follow and. read Shakespeare: he is our best thinker and writer in English.

Secondly, about your poem … well, I understand, but it would be worthwhile for you to read other women poets, absorb their discourse, which will make your more informed and better able to express your feelings in detail, rather than in general, which, to tell the truth, is not very interesting.
