To The Girl With Stellar Smile - Poem by umar kabir

To the girl with stellar smile

Before me stands a beauty more elegant than an autumn flower
Like the fate of an amateur artist
Who cannot capture the beauty of a meteorite shower
Even if he were to draw from the highest tower
I fear my words do not hold adequate power
To convey how beautiful you are…
But this mediocre poet will not cower

Yours my dearest is a beauty
Far beyond perfection
Of your skin so bloomy and silky
Or those eyes that gleam with sparkles
And that smile that ruffle senses
With all its charm and warmness
Your beauty is in your story
Told and untold for all its glory
Of love and grace and kindness

Through the battles won I see the scars you bore
Through life and its relentless gore
Through heartache and tear-soaked veil you wore
To cover your pains & get you through nights, as cold as snow
But still
You dust and you soar

It’s in your smile; it’s in your kindness
It’s in your trials and your sadness
It’s in your grace at the brink of madness
It’s in your smile that mask your pain with a show of gladness
But most of all, its in the heart that beats beneath your breast with all its kindness
Each beat singing the melody of a beauty full of brightness
To the girl with a stellar smile I that I hold so dear with much fondness
I wish you love and I wish you happiness

A THING OF BEAUTY IS A JOY FOR EVER - John Keats. A lovely poem that depicts beautiful and strong woman of substance. A woman of virtue is man's highest glory. I like the articulation, penning and rhyme scheme of the poem. A nice piece of poetry. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON. (Report) Reply
