To The Soldiers. Poem by Louisa Rogers

To The Soldiers.

Rating: 5.0

From our hearts we thank,
The ones we've lost in wars gone by.
And those who are still fighting,
And laying down their lives.
Few of us have the strength
To do just what they do.
But back here, back home,
We're supporting them through 'n through.
I have never asked a soldier,
What's the fear on the front line?
But I'm sure their answer would be
Being forgotten or left behind.
No one knows but them,
The reasons for and against.
But through every war we will support them.
Their courage; their pride; their strength.
