To The Wind Poem by bob barci

To The Wind

I write,
but, who for?
What for?
Written words that no one will read.
Spoken words that no one will hear.
All those words from my soul
scattered to the wind.
Forever flowing.
Never stopping.
Never halting on ears or lips.
No rest for the words I fight to get out.
Get out and keep out.
Out for you to read.
Out for you to hear.
I need you to catch my words.
Recite the words.
Listen to what they tell you.
I've exposed my soul to you.
My soul, in the form of words.
Don't throw me to the wind.
Never to touch ground.
Never to rest.
Catch my soul.
Read the words you see.
Hear what they tell you.
I can't spend any more time
with my soul
to the wind.
