To Travel With You Poem by Joseph Sakyiamah

To Travel With You

If I have to travel with you,
‎I would want us to rise like the Nile,
‎Like a river whose waters surge,
‎Beautifully, let our smiles become a thousand words.

‎Let us only bleed love, if oozing with love,
‎Love immeasurable like the wind,
‎Singing as our voice lingers like air,
‎Here, let our eyes melt into love like ice,

Cold, yet telling the story of old,
‎As we hip-swing on its surface,
‎Let our boat reach its shores,
‎Let us be beacons, forever faithful beings in love.
