Too Late Poem by Austin Moore

Too Late

Too late, you passed your due date, tell me you’re not going to go
I thought you already sought the things that you’ll never know
Back then, you could have made amends but it’s not like you really cared
Alone, you turned my heart to stone cause I didn’t want to feel scared
Goodbye, but never deny all these that you’ve done to me
It’s too bad, don’t pretend to feel sad cause this is who you want to be
Inside is a place you can hide and forget everyone you knew
Although I know you want to go this is something you can’t pursue
