‘tos’ (The Other Side) . Poem by Vizo Meyase

‘tos’ (The Other Side) .

I’d hate to say goodbyes; good riddance
If tomorrow would’ve never turns again.
Time is pulling one’s lives towards,
A step closer to an unknown era...
Although, death an unexpected obligation;
A circumstance impossible to escape from,
Where, darkness will be all one’s company.
And feel an absence of our own adored;
Gone to the other side, who’s not returning...

There might be better lives in the other side-
Yet, why is it too cold to feel, when one dies?
Living with the shadowed past on our heart
Do deaths come & wants to see us broken?
Or it leaves us to questions self the misses?
Deeply behind the memories at night; tears
And sadness care, longing our beloved here...
If ever I could come back; I’d realized, going there!
No doubt! Who wants to let go someone so dearer-

Yet, it’s hard to hold on the pain, when already gone
Still they lived and are missed so alive, ain’t it?
Life is…but a crazy feeling to swallow...
It’s funny overcoming the hurtful wee hours
Tough not to miss; when memories are recalls,
However, I’d hate to see-hear ‘Adieus & Cries’
Disappearing under the ground beneath;
Turning my flesh to soil of dust, in wooden crypt
Plastered inside the six-four feet grave...
I’ll be delight, if ever life could be evermore-
Like a song of oldies from history; still young...
Yet, I’d hate to ask too, when gone awake to ‘TOS’
That, if am I, still not death? Perhaps! ! !
Oh, it’s just that, I’ve been shifted...
To this side from the other side, how cruel!
Except death; a birthmark that makes,
Every mankind lived to die in the end.
It might sound illogical, but am so untried...
And still I’d hate to; fell apart, I hate to die.
