Total Eclipse Poem by Frederick Stadler

Total Eclipse

An event of darkness;
A horizon of dimming light.
Cameras watch with sharpness
As the day appears night.

The dawn came softly;
The dusk early so.
Had a morning coffee
And took the time slow.

A shadow the moon cast
Upon the massive ground below.
We watched, our mouths a-gast,
The impressive cosmic show.
