Totem - Poem by Alexander Downie
If you need a friend, I will stand over you strong and never bow.
If arrows pierce your heart, I will close angels wings around your soul.
If you need words to comfort or advise you, I will be your shaman.
If you wish to confess, I will be your priest.
If the road you travel is dark and long, I will be St Christopher.
If you cry in the night, I will be the ghost that washes your tears.
If your sleep is troubled by demons, I will catch dreams until you rest.
If you fall behind, I'll wait for you!
