Traffic Poem by Sheldon Carruthers

Traffic

Life is such a lonely game
When you've been classified insane
Perturbed by what you see
Emotionally disturbed that's me
When all your freedoms gone
Even though you've done nothing wrong
When life is such a dismal mess
The systems wronged you
But they couldn't care less
To dwell on the past is a dreadful mistake
But when the calvary arrived it was far to late
Nothing ventured nothing gained
All my energy is gone now almost totally drained
Yesterday is today and today is tomorrow
My whole experience seems rather hollow
I'd worry less if it furthered my cause
Yet actions speak louder then just mere words
