Traitor Friend Poem by Jovie Gallera

Traitor Friend

A friend once close, now far away,
A traitor, yes, that's what they say.
Betrayed my trust, my heart it tore,
Left me alone, forevermore.

They smiled to my face, all the while,
Planning and conniving, in secret guile.
They led me on, with their deceitful smile,
And left me broken, in a sorry pile.

Oh, traitor friend, what did I do,
To deserve such treachery from you?
You were my confidant, my ally, my friend,
But now our bond has come to an end.

So go ahead, and live your life,
In lies and falsehoods, pain and strife.
But know that I will never forget,
The betrayal that caused me such regret.

And though it hurts, I'll find a way,
To move on from your treachery today.
For in the end, it's not me you've hurt,
But yourself, with your deceitful dirt.
