Treading Poem by Karin Holloway

Treading

Rating: 5.0

Won't take long before I'll lose
this way to be
to switch tracks.
Smooth transitions – it's the pain between
that stretches
me into more.
Sacred drama – stage, the soul's journey -
it's the climbing to heaven
we all face
or hide from.
'Tis better to float, Tao,
than sink.
Oblivion looks deep, scares hell out.
I build a bridge – the security
of getting there.
I build to be and
it becomes reality.
There is a trusting in life, a faith
in what Is. It is the river,
the miracle molecule of spirit.
To tread is the trick.
