Treasure Island Poem by Rustiq Joy

Treasure Island

The beauties of this world,
You know those incandescent things,
Surreal, noble, a phenomenon,
Those things that make you go
Ummm there is got to be a God
In this world.

The crushing crystal waters of mighty waterfalls;
The rolling hills and verdant mountain tops;
That time of day when the Caribbean sea
Gives up its diamonds, sparkling amidst the ripples;
And then there is you.

I have seen caves carved out beneath the earth,
Large caverns, like air bubbles caught underground.
Pillars and pools of water with minerals from ancient days
And yet they pale in comparison
To the mystery of you.

If I should rise above the seas
And soar above the gigantic glaciers;
If I should ascend beyond the clouds
And welcome the darkness of the universe
With its galaxies of stars.
You will still shine brighter in my eyes.

Don't you see I'm Eve
You are my Adam
Every alluring contour of your body
The bold yet soft frame of your charming face
The masculine grace of your gait
Draws me to you
Like a moth to a flame
And what a way to burn.

Yes there is a God in this world
He made me but He made you
A phenomenon of phenomena
My own Treasure Island.
Let me unearth the treasures in you.
