Tree Poem by Cyclopseven R

Tree

For centuries unknown
a tree standstill
greeting the changing weathers
in different times and climes.

A faithful servant of mother nature
she is a witness of unending stories
of war and destruction
of saint and sage
of gods and angel
of man and animals.

Each leaf of hers
carries the memory from the era - hidden
the era that time had devoured mercilessly.

With the mysteries of the ages lie deep in her trunk
she graciously sacrificed herself
to protect others under her mighty shade.

And she will continue to do so
till she lie to kiss the sustaining earth,
one day in the future, the day will come.

Rain or shine
she stands there from the past
for man to understand
PERSEVERANCE
SACRIFICE
HARMONY.

She kisses the air
her prayers pierce the sun
she bath in the rain
and for sustenance
she travels far deep
into the heart of mother earth
penetrating the hardened rocks
in search for continuity.

May she live throughout eternity.
