Tree Poem by mohammad ahmadizadeh

Tree

Oh,
What did I do?
Forgive me my sons
Victims of my negligence
I knew when spring came around
It was not warm yet inside the ground
Why did not I follow my heart, mother earth warn?

Forgive me my dears
I was deceived by winter's last wiles
It gifted me a few fake warm days
I was taken in it with disguised spring

Oh my beautiful blossoms
You fell into trap due to my illiterate reliance
Winter robbed both my trust and my innocent sons

Forgive me my hearties
For mistaken blooming
